Kim Kardashian appears to have a wonky eye that many people have picked up on. One of her eyes looks more droopy than the other, and in recent photos of her in court for the Paris robbery, it looked even more obvious. It’s not the first time it’s caught public attention, either. In 2023, at a NYC party, photographs captured Kim attempting to hide the asymmetry between her eyes.
Kim Kardashian’s wonky eye could be due to Botox
Kim’s wonky eye is likely down to Botox, according to plastic surgeon Sam Fuller, who regularly performs Botox and filler injections. They said, “It does appear that recent photographs of Kim Kardashian reveal a “wonky” eye. More specifically, her left eye appears to be more closed and droopy compared to her right eye. Interestingly, this doesn’t appear to be the first time this eye has caught the attention of the public.”
They added: “The likely underlying issue is an asymmetric result to tox injections, such as Botox of Jeuveau. It is important to note that every person requires a slightly different dose of the tox, and sometimes the muscles on one side of the face or forehead is weaker/stronger than the other side. This natural unevenness can create obvious differences when tox is injected to freeze the muscles.”
“In Kim’s case, the left side of her forehead muscles are frozen, leading to descent of her eyebrow and eyelid to cover more of her eye than her right. Fortunately, these unwanted results are temporary, as the tox wears off after 3-4 months. Careful consideration with a board-certified plastic surgeon is essential to analyse the facial muscles and anatomy and tweak the dosing to avoid this result,” Sam continued.
She could take measures to make her eye less wonky
Kim could take measures to fix the wonky eye, according to the surgeon. Sam Fuller said: “Ways to avoid the “wonky” eye or ptosis of the forehead and eyebrow is to lower the dose of the weaker side, or inject higher up on the forehead to allow the lower portion of the forehead musculature to remain active in order to keep the eyebrows higher and even.”
She has openly admitted to undergoing Botox and laser treatments in the past, and will be glad to know it’s not a permanent wonky eye! At some points, she’s actually worn hats on the red carpet to cover her droopy eye, and despite the amount of criticism she’s had over it, Kim has stayed pretty tight-lipped on the whole thing.
