Hunter With a Scalpel Episode 4 Recap
The episode opens with Se-hyun’s nosy neighbour accusing her of murdering stray cats, and just when she reaches the office frustrated, she gets the call that the police have found the killer in the farmland case. Jung-hyun isn’t able to give more details, though, and it leaves her uncomfortable with anticipation. She rushes to the station to give him the soil analysis results, but also to secretly learn more about the suspect.
She tries to ask him to let him see the culprit, but he refuses at first, but she eventually manipulates her way to see who could be behind the murders. Although she feels beside herself, getting flashbacks from her past, it turns out that the man whom they had arrested was not the real murderer, and there was a mix-up. In the aftermath, the police clash with the guy, whose cockiness results in Jung-hyun standing up for his colleagues. Eventually, he is asked to hold a press conference and address the issue.

Later, the team finds the video footage from the bus on the night Min-ho died and starts looking into the person sitting behind and keeping an eye on them. During the press conference, the incessant questions by the press leave Jung-hyun flustered and Se-hyun swoops in to tell everyone that they have found a fingerprint among the evidence. She eventually goes on to spill the beans that it’s a serial murder case and then call the killer a narcissistic scumbag.
Her boss isn’t happy about the turn of events, obviously, and neither is his boss. He chews them both out, but a confident Se-hyun assures him that she will solve this case one way or another. As Jung-hyun and Se-hyun get ready to catch the culprit, a very unnerving Yoon Jo-gyun decides to claim another victim.
Hunter With a Scalpel Episode 4 Review

Ok guys, Hunter With a Scalpel has my attention and I can’t get enough of how creepy Park Yong-woo is in this episode! Episode 4 also takes the story further, gets the two lead investigators to work together, bringing a united front, and introduces Jo-gyun as a man who has more than a few disturbing skeletons in the closet. The episode was tense and promised something more interesting next.
I guess the four-day release is almost like they split two episodes into four, resulting in the fourth being the most tense. We see this in other dramas as well, with the first episode not being as interesting as you’d expect. I don’t know the point of breaking the episodes in this fashion, but whatever it is, I am looking forward to what happens next week.
