Doechii has a new music video out now!
On Friday (April 18), the 26-year-old Grammy-winning rapper released the music video for her hit single “Anxiety.”
In the video, Doechii is stuck in her own head and battles with forces beyond her control. She’s carried around the rooms of her house where people break in through the windows, furniture is moved around, and a fire breaks out in the kitchen.
Keep reading to find out more…At one point, she sits on a couch in between her twin younger sisters, who are dressed like the twins from The Shining in matching blue dresses.
The video also pays homage to Gotye and Kimbra‘s “Somebody That I Used to Know” music video, the 2011 song that Doechii samples on the track.
“Anxiety, keep on trying me /I feel it quietly, tryna silence me, yeah,” Doechii sings. “My anxiety, can’t shake it off of me / Somebody’s watchin’ me and my anxiety, yeah.”
