Peacock has revealed the fates of two of it’s comedy shows!

The streaming service has given the axe to both Based on a True Story and Mr Throwback, after two seasons and one season, respectively, according to Variety.

Based on a True Story was a dark comedic thriller, “about a realtor, a former tennis star and a plumber who seize a unique opportunity to capitalize on America’s obsession with true crime.”

The series, which first premiered in June 2023, starred Kaley Cuoco, Chris Messina, Tom Bateman, Liana Liberato and more. Season two debuted in November 2024.

Mr Throwback starred Stephen Curry, Adam Pally and Ego Nwodim, and followed a down-on-his-luck memorabilia dealer who looks for redemption by reuniting with his sixth-grade teammate, NBA legend Stephen Curry. The show premiered in August 2024.
